When they get sent out depends on your planting zone, usually sometime between March - May. A label will be printed out before that time, which will show they are in "pre transit", but they won't actually be mailed until it's safe. I'll keep an eye out for your temperatures. HEAT ADVISORY:During the hottest months, your plant's leaves will probably die in the box. Expect to get a greenish purple stick in the mail. However, this is nothing to be worried about. As long as the roots arrive moist, the plant is very healthy. Once you plant it, all the leaves will come back quickly. Fast growing vine with huge white flowers that bloom in the evening and on overcast days that seems to glow in the dim light. An easy, plant that provides a beautiful backdrop for hummingbirds as they are attracted to the sweet scent. Loves to climb on fences or trellises. Prefers full sun, but moister soils. Leaves will wilt in hotter temperatures but will bounce right back when it cools down in the evening. This vine is good to grow in the same spot as the daytime morning glories because when the others close, these will be opening up. A lovely display all day and into the evening. A perennial in zones 9 - 11, it's an annual everywhere else, but it can reseed and return the next year. After transplanting, give it a little water daily for a week, or until you see the plant start to take off. Don't let the leaves crisp. Once established, you shouldn't have to water at all and only rely on the occasional rain. Note: You will receive small, bare root plants, that have at least one or two true leaves. Bury it, hook it around something to climb onto, and watch it go. Note Part Two: This is not the same as the toxic jimsonweed plant that goes by the same name. Note Part Three: Plants arrive short and older ones are clipped. If I don't keep them trimmed, they will choke each other in the trays I grow them in. They are the type of vine that will need to climb on a structure you provide them. Please see the photo to get an idea of how big they are when they arrive; but don't worry, they do grow quickly.
