Organic Oat Groats are the whole oat grain in its least processed form, with the outer hull removed but nothing rolled, cut or ground away — giving the chewiest texture and most substantial bite of any oat product. Grown to organic standard in the UK and packed in plastic-free packaging, they take longer to cook than rolled or steel-cut oats, usually 40-50 minutes, or can be soaked overnight to speed things up, but reward the wait with a genuinely hearty, nutty porridge. They can also be cooked and cooled for use in grain salads, much like a wholegrain rice or barley. Certified organic and vegan, with no added sugar, they're the most traditional, minimally processed way to enjoy oats. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry cupboard.
